PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing variation in illuminance due to a stop position even if a light receiving part of illuminance detection means is provided on a rotatable operation panel.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus which comprises: an operation panel 2 rotatably mounted on an image forming apparatus body 1; illuminance detection means which is provided on the operation panel 2 and detects illuminance in the installation environment; and an operation control part for switching a standby mode based on the illuminance detected by the illuminance detection means. The image forming apparatus comprises: a light receiving rotation body 10 having a light receiving part 11 which is provided to the illumination detection means and is rotatably mounted on the operation panel 2; and on the operation panel 2, interlocking means 13 for rotating the light receiving rotation body 10 in conjunction with the rotation of the operation panel 2. |
