PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable miniaturization of a door latch device for a vehicle.SOLUTION: A ratchet 8 comprises: a resin body 800 having a bearing cylinder part 801 in which a ratchet shaft 7 is inserted so as to be rotated relative to each other; and a metallic ratchet body 80 having a stopping part 81 and fitted and fixed to the resin body 800 from the axial direction of the ratchet shaft 7. The ratchet body 80 has a shaft hole 82 with which the bearing cylinder part 801 of the resin body 800 is brought into engagement from the axial direction and of which side facing a rotational locus L of tips of engaging parts 62, 63 of a ratch 6 is an opening 821. An outside peripheral surface 8011 on a side facing the rotational locus L among the peripheral surface of the bearing cylinder part 801 is exposed from the opening 821 of the shaft hole 82 in the ratchet body 80 toward the rotational locus L. |
