PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent multiple feeding by fluidly changing control modes with respect to a floating air blowing position, and to improve paper feeding stability as compared with coping with the multiple feeding with a control mode fixed.SOLUTION: A paper feeder includes a suction conveying section 40 and a control section 50. The control section 50 monitors whether the suction conveying section 40 sucks a form within a prescribed time during execution of a first control mode, and temporarily changes a blowing position for floating air from an upper position to a lower position when the suction conveying section 40 does not suck a form within the predetermined time. When the suction conveying section 40 sucks a form, the control section 50 puts the blowing position for floating air back to the upper position from the lower position, counts how many times a form is sucked not within the predetermined time and then compares the measured overtime count with a threshold count for control branch preset, and changes control to suck and convey the form from the first control mode to a second control mode when the overtime count exceeds the threshold count. |
