PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional-blow-out, ceiling-embedded air conditioner configured such that heat exchange area of an interior-side heat exchanger is made as large as possible in consideration of no decrease in productivity.SOLUTION: A ceiling-embedded air conditioner, which has a rectangular planar shape, is provided with: a cosmetic panel having an interior blow-out opening along each of the opposite long sides; and a product body (20) that incorporates an air blower (30) and a heat exchanger (40). The heat exchanger (40) comprises two branched heat exchangers (41) disposed in a manner so as to sandwich the air blower (30) between the two interior blow-out openings and the air blower (30) in plan view. The intermediate parts (41a) in the lengthwise direction of the branched heat exchangers (41) are, in plan view, disposed parallel to the interior blow-out openings, and both ends of the branched heat exchangers are bent at differing angles (α, &bgr;) with respect to the intermediate parts (41a) towards the air blower (30). |
