PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine in which drivability can be suppressed from being reduced by stopping fuel supply of the internal combustion engine after damping an output torque of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An EG-ECU specifies lengths L1, L3 of a first damping term T1 and a third damping term T3 on the basis of a time control map (step S1) and specifies a damping rate &Dgr;TQ2 in the second damping term T2 on the basis of a damping rate control map (step S2). In the first damping term T1, an output torque of an engine is damped for a time of the length L1 (step S5) and in a second damping term T2, the output torque of the engine is damped at the damping rate &Dgr;TQ2 for a time of a length L2 (step S6). In the third damping term T3, the output torque of the engine is damped for a time of the length L3 (step S7), and fuel supply is stopped (step S8). |
