PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game control device configured to achieve a game with high social property even when position information of a communication terminal is used, and to provide a game control method, a program, and a game system.SOLUTION: A game control device includes: an acquiring means for acquiring position information representing a position of a user's communication terminal; detecting means for detecting another user's communication terminal that is located in a predetermined range from a position represented in the acquired position information; an associating means for associating the user with the other user on the basis of information relating to a predetermined operation input; and an adding means that adds a benefit, when the user and the other user are associated with each other, to at least any one of the users associated with each other.
