PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform base line correction with high accuracy to control image forming conditions in a more appropriate manner.SOLUTION: A wet-type image forming apparatus 1000 includes a toner amount detection sensor 30 and a squeeze device 25. The squeeze device 25 irradiates the surface of a photoreceptor 21 having a reduced amount of carrier liquid with detection light 31L, and the toner amount detection sensor 30 outputs a base line correction value according to the intensity of reflection light 32L from the surface. A toner image on the photoreceptor 21 before being transferred to an intermediate roller 51 is irradiated with the detection light 31L, and the toner amount detection sensor 30 outputs a reference output value according to the intensity of reflection light 32L from the toner image. Image forming conditions are controlled on the basis of the base line correction value and the reference output value. |
