PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller shaft configured to facilitate assembling of a boot member.SOLUTION: On an outer circumferential surface of a small-diameter part 13 of an input shaft 2, a male spline 15 is formed, while on an inner circumferential surface of a cylindrical part 21 press-fitted in an axial direction of an inner ring member 18 of a first constant-velocity joint 3, a female spline 24 is formed with which the male spline is engaged in the axial direction. In a boot member 23 for sealing grease filled in an outer ring member 17, an outer circumferential part 28 of boot 28 is fixed to a distal end portion 27b of a retainer 27 having the proximal end portion 27a fixed to a fitting groove 17a on an outer circumferential surface of the outer ring member 17. An inner circumferential part 28b of the boot 28 is fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical part 21 via a boot band 29. A circlip 16 fixed to a fitting groove 13b of the small-diameter part is fitted to a holding groove 25 formed at a distal end side of an inserting hole 18a, thereby performing positioning in the axial direction.
