PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote management manager capable of easily registering installation of a device to be installed.SOLUTION: The manager is connected to image processing apparatuses, as devices targeted for management, through a public line network via a proxy server 317. A database 312 stores installation data related to the image processing apparatuses in such a manner that users and device IDs are associated with the data. A controller 311 includes: an inquiry processing unit 3112 that inquires about whether a device ID transmitted from one image processing apparatus is stored as installation data; an information acquiring unit 3111 that requests image-processing-apparatus information necessary for registration of installation; a registration processing unit 3113 that registers each image processing apparatus as a device targeted for management; and a validation requesting unit 3114 that requests the image processing apparatus to validate a function to be managed. |
