PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of securing welding strength.SOLUTION: A muffler particularly for an automobile includes a housing 4 of a two-part constitution having first and second housing parts 2 and 3 respectively formed like a shell, and a discharge port 5 and an introducing port 6 are arranged in the housing 4, and a discharge bottom part 12 and an introducing bottom part 13 are provided while being respectively inserted into the discharge port 5 and the introducing port 6. The discharge bottom part 12 and the introducing bottom part 13 are respectively formed as a cover insertable into the discharge port 5 and the introducing port 6.
