PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a use rate of a power generation brake in a section where braking takes place continuously.SOLUTION: A braking control device includes a receiving means of receiving information notified from a ground device in a section where a train is on the rail and a braking control means of controlling, based on the brake command to be inputted, a braking force in a braking device at least having a power generation brake for consuming electric power generated by rotation of train wheels through a brake resistor and a friction brake. When information indicating a suppression section where the use of the power generation brake is suppressed is included in information to be notified, a braking control device controls the use of the power generation brake at the time of obtaining the braking force through the braking device within the suppression section. |
