A restrictor device comprising an arm 137 adapted to engage with a hook 107, a base adapted to engage with the arm 137, wherein the arm 137 is arranged to be engaged within the base in a first mode of operation to restrict a window from being fully opened, the restrictor device further comprising a retaining portion adapted to retain the arm 137 in a second mode of operation where the window may be fully opened without restriction. When the window is in a closed position, a user may move the arm 137 such that it engages with the retaining portion and is retained by the retaining portion in the second mode of operation.
