PURPOSE: A protective semiconductor device of a secondary battery is provided to reliably detect the generation of disconnection when partial disconnection is generated between the secondary battery and the protective semiconductor device. CONSTITUTION: A connection terminal (VC1-VC4) can be connected to the electrode of each secondary battery. A first resistor is installed corresponding to each secondary battery, is connected between terminals corresponding to a high-voltage electrode and a low-voltage electrode respectively, and detects the voltage of each secondary battery. A comparator (11-14) is installed corresponding to each secondary battery, and detects whether the voltage of each secondary battery is within the range of a reference voltage based on a voltage obtained from the first resistor. A series circuit is installed corresponding to each secondary battery, connected between connection terminals, and composed of a second resistor and a first switch device.
