The invention provides a work vehicle, which does not need any stand-by time when the vehicle is stopped, and enables a work machine to rise in a shorter time during backward driving, and prevents speed of backward driving from excessively rising. A driving vehicle body is provided with a seedling planting device capable of being freely lift up and down, an engine, a variable speed gear which changes speed of the power of the engine and drives the driving device, and a driving operation rod which operates the variable speed gear to change the driving speed. The driving operation rod can be operated to a forward driving area, a forward and backward stop area and a backward driving area in order. The work vehicle also comprises a control device which controls the rotating speed of the engine and is arranged corresponding to the operation position of the driving operation rod. The control device enables the rotating speed of the engine when the driving operation rod is operated to a position adjacent to a low-speed side to be higher than the rotating speed of the engine when the driving operation rod is operated to the highest position in the backward driving area. |
