The valve (14) has a valve element moved in a housing. An absorption mechanism is provided for deceleration of the valve element before reaching an end position. The absorption mechanism includes two sections that are coupled with the valve element, where one of the sections includes a recess into the other section is immersed before reaching the end position of the valve element under formation of a radial gap. The two sections of the absorption mechanism are radial symmetrically arranged.
