FIELD: transport.SUBSTANCE: overhead system serves to process car bodies by dipping. Overhead system comprises transfer carriage 208 including car body fasteners, transfer carriage guide 216 and drive 222, 224 to displace said carriage along said guide. Car body fastener is permanently located above guide 216. Said fastener can displace along said guide and sideways thereof. Said fastener comprises bearing structure 212 with fastening means 272 supported by extra structural assembly 256 of transfer carriage on one side only.
