<p>The device (3) has a chamber (4) filled with an adhesive. A fiber tail pipe (5) guides a reel (2), where length of the pipe is 2.5 cm and internal diameter of the pipe is 0.40 mm. An extrusion machine comprises an adhesive supply (6) continuously supplying the chamber. An optical fiber transmission (1) is rolled up in a layer presenting spaced adjacent whorls, where a space between the adjacent whorls is filled with the adhesive. An independent claim is also included for a method for winding an optical fiber transmission on a reel.</p>
