<p>PURPOSE: Scrap preheater equipment and a scrap heating control method using the same are provided to reduce a heating up period of scrap within an electric furnace when charging the scrap by heating the scrap before putting the scrap into the electric furnace. CONSTITUTION: Scrap preheater equipment comprises a pre-heating case (100), an upper burner (200) and a side burner (300). An accommodation space for scrap to be charged is formed within the pre-heating case and a pre-heating roof is installed on the top of the case to open and close. The upper burner is mounted on the pre-heating roof and heats the scrap kept in the accommodation space from the upper side. The side burner is mounted on the side of the pre-heating case and heats the scrap kept in the accommodation space from the lateral side.</p> |
