<p>594332 Disclosed is are 2-Phenylquinazolin-4(3H)-ones and 2-phenylpyrido[4,3-d]pyrimidin-4(3H)ones compounds of formula (I) where the substituents are as disclosed in the specification. Examples of a compounds of formula (I) are: 3-(4-sec-butylphenyl)-2-(4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl)quinazolin-4(3H)-one; 3-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-(4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)-3,5-dimethylphenyl)quinazolin-4(3H)-one and 2-(4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)-3,5-dimethylphenyl)-3-(4-iodophenyl)quinazolin-4(3H)-one. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical combinations comprising a compound of formula (I) and the use of a compound of formula (I) in the manufacture of a medicament. The medicament is useful for increasing the expression of ApoA-I in a subject or for treating or preventing a cardiovascular disease or a cholesterolrelated, or lipid-related disorder, in a subject.</p> |
