PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device capable of maintaining high output even when used in a harsh environment.SOLUTION: A light emitting device includes; a metal reflecting member 12; a light emitting element 11 fixed to the metal reflecting member; a glass film 15 covering the metal reflecting member and having Si-N bonds as an essential component; and a translucent resin 16 covering the glass film. The glass film is preferably present at an interface between the metal reflecting member and the translucent resin, and furthermore preferably has Si-H bonds. The glass film preferably has a thickness of 0.05 μm or more and 5 μm or less. The metal reflecting member preferably comprises a material including silver and is preferably fixed by the light emitting element and a metal material. |
