PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device arranged to be able to contribute to acceleration of high performance printing such as high-speed printing and high resolution printing by making rotation processing of image data at the time of rotation printing efficient and causing a processing speed to follow a printing speed as much as possible.SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises classification means, determination means and control means. The classification means divides image data into a plurality of blocks becoming units of rotation processing and classifies the respective plurality of blocks into first blocks not having directionality and second blocks having directionality with respect to the rotation processing. The determination means determines whether or not the rotation processing with respect to the image data of the second blocks can follow a printing speed on the basis of the number of at least one of the classified first and second blocks. When the rotation processing is determined to be capable of following the printing speed, the control means causes the image data of the first blocks to be subjected to printing without performing the rotation processing with respect to the image data thereof, performs the rotation processing with respect to the image data of the second blocks and causes the image data thereof to be subjected to the printing. |
