PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment apparatus which can adjust treatment time of a metal wire rod without decreasing a linear velocity of the metal wire rod and can obtain sufficient treatment effect in a treatment tank.SOLUTION: A surface treatment apparatus treats a surface of a metal wire rod by delivering the metal wire rod 150 in the longitudinal direction to move forward and by immersing the metal wire rod 150 in a treatment liquid 20 for a predetermined time, and includes an adjusting means 40 of immersion time which has a first and a second pulleys 30 and 31 arranged apart from each other, is immersed in the treatment liquid when treating the surface of the metal wire rod, and adjusts the immersion time of the metal wire rod by moving the metal wire rod forward while winding up the same a predetermined number of times so that the metal wire rod stride over between the first and the second pulleys. |
