PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter device capable of suppressing the failure of a switching element when an inverter circuit section returns from an operation stop state.SOLUTION: The inverter device comprises: an inverter circuit section having a plurality of switching elements; and a control section that switching-controls a plurality of switching elements in such a switching pattern as to apply a predetermined voltage to a predetermined switching element included in the plurality of switching elements so that a short-circuit mode is not generated by an erroneous on-operation due to parasitic oscillation when the inverter circuit section is returned from an operation stop state.
