PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knowledge response system which increases a reply rate of a computer to a question sentence input in natural language, and which can give a more accurate answer.SOLUTION: The system carries out a morphological analysis, a syntactic analysis and a semantic analysis for a sentence input in a natural language format, and when the input sentence is a declarative sentence, the input sentence is accumulated in a semantic model database as knowledge data. When the input sentence is a question sentence, the system connects with the Internet to carry out a Web search, obtains a normalized search result, and stores it in a Web search result database. When the input sentence is the question sentence, the system extracts the knowledge data from the semantic model database and, if necessary, from the Web search result database to perform semantic verification by comparing the data with the question sentence. If a reply is obtained, the system creates and outputs a reply sentence. Thus, not only the accumulated knowledge but also the information obtained by the Web search are utilized for creating a reply to a user. |
