[Problem] To provide a balloon catheter able to offer both kink resistance and deflation time performance. [Solution] The present invention includes: a proximal end shaft (120); a distal end shaft (140); an intermediate shaft (130) positioned between the proximal end shaft and the distal end shaft; lumens (122, 132, 142) for introducing and discharging a fluid for expanding the balloon, the lumens passing through the proximal end shaft, the intermediate shaft, and the distal end shaft; an inner tube shaft (160) which has a guide wire opening (164) arranged at the boundary between the intermediate shaft and the distal end shaft and through which the lumens are extended; and a reinforcing body (170) for minimizing kinking, the reinforcing body (170) being arranged in the lumens. The reinforcing body (170) is fixed to the proximal end shaft and includes a tapered proximal end section (172) arranged within the lumen positioned in the intermediate shaft, a tapered distal end section (178) arranged within the lumen positioned in the distal end shaft, and a straight moving section (176) positioned between the proximal end section (172) and the distal end section (178). The moving section (176) is aligned with the guide wire opening (164). |
