<p>A safety device for an elevator is provided with a locking device (16), an unlocking device (34), and an operation device (36). The locking device (16) locks a landing door (10). The locking device (16) is unlocked by the operation of opening the car door (22). The unlocking device (34) unlocks the locking device (16) when first operation is performed at the landing. A detection device (35) is provided with a switch (39). The operation device (36) is provided with a movable section (40), a mechanism section (41), and a holding section (42). The movable section (40) is displaced to a first position and a second position. The mechanism section (41) positions the movable section (40) to the second position when the first operation is applied to the unlocking device (34). The holding section (42) maintains the state in which the movable section (40) is positioned at the second position. If the landing door (10) is closed when the movable section (40) is positioned at the second position, the movable section (40) comes into contact with the detection device (35) and operates the switch (39).</p> |
