PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid material discharge device which can obtain new different information from a positional recognition of an object to be coated, with the help of a camera, and thus contribute to the precise coating of a minute amount of a liquid material.SOLUTION: A liquid material discharge device can photograph an image on how a resin adheres to an area around the tip of a needle 503, using a lower camera 581 during the operation of the device. When an unsatisfactory qualitative resin adhesion state is suspected (when an abnormality in the coating of the resin is detected), nozzle cleaning is performed. When an abnormality is detected, an operator has to be notified of it by means of voice, light, image, or the like. An upper camera 587 identifies the central position (XY coordinate) of liquid droplets by photographing several liquid droplets applied to the surface of a base and making an image processing. Consequently, it is possible to identify and correct the deviation between the programmed XY central position of the needle 503 and the actual central position of liquid droplets. |
