PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television broadcast receiver capable of displaying a satisfactory image.SOLUTION: The television broadcast receiver comprises: a mixer 21 which converts a high frequency signal RF received by an antenna 1, to an intermediate frequency signal; a SAW filter 22 which allows passing therethrough of an intermediate frequency signal of a selected channel among the intermediate frequency signals generated by the mixer 21; and a CPU 5 which controls the passage band of the SAW filter 22 so that the ratio between the levels of an image carrier and a voice carrier in the intermediate frequency signal IF having passed through the SAW filter 22 is larger than a predetermined value. Consequently, an image S/N is improved to display a satisfactory image. |
