[Class 3 (ii)] A road-marking block of the type having reflectors is provided with means for automatically cleaning the face of each reflector. In an undercut recess 5 located in front of the reflector 7 is disposed a rubber or like insert 10 having its top projecting above the level of the upper surface of the block 2. Channels 11 through the insert allow of the passage of light to and from the reflector, and each time a vehicle wheel passes over the block the insert is depressed and its inner face wipes the lens. The block may stand on feet 4 which allow grouting material to pass under and surround the buried part of the block. The block may be of any material, and when of cast iron may have white or other metal or rubber inserts to render it more visible. A plurality of blocks may be fitted in a roadmarking frame of stainless steel &c.
