<p>The method involves illuminating the object (5) with light (3.2,3.3) from condenser so that moderate background illumination result by simultaneous bright field lighting and complementary information of phase contrast and bright field image. The phase contrast dominated bright field image and additional image in intermediate image plane resulted from phase contrast lighting are merged. The variable phase-contrast bright-field overlay image is created by interference of overlapping sub-images in the intermediate image plane. An independent claim is included for a microscope.</p> |
