The method involves supplying a flow of gas to a nozzle (18) by a pipe line (6), and guiding the gas flow by the nozzle such that an input pressure is adjusted upstream to the nozzle. The gas flow is guided by a diffuser (20) arranged downstream to the nozzle. An output pressure is adjusted downstream to the diffuser such that the nozzle is critically operated. The gas flow is passed via a plugging unit (8) before guiding through the nozzle. The plugging unit is made of a permeable material for the gas flow and arranged in the pipe line and completely fills a cross-section of the pipe line. The plugging unit consists of a silencing material, porous plastic sinter material. An independent claim is also included for a device for producing a gas flow.
