PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device that is capable of determining whether an article is defective or non-defective even when reflected light of an arc shape is captured in an image.SOLUTION: An inspection device 2 includes: illumination means 4 for illuminating a container 1 with light; photographing means 5 for photographing the container 1; image processing means 7 for converting the image photographed by the photographing means 5 to a processed image; and determining means 8 for detecting an abnormal portion of an article from the processed image. The container is shaped so as to reflect arcuate reflectance. Therefore, the determining means obtains a center coordinate C of the container on the processed image, recognizes a region containing a probable abnormal portion, from the processed image, and further measures a distance L to a center of the article for each of a plurality of pixels composing one region, and when variations in the distances are less than a prescribed range, the region is determined to be the arcuate reflectance and not an abnormal portion, while the region is determined to be an abnormal portion when the variations in the distances are equal to or greater than the prescribed range. It is possible to determine whether an article is defective or non-defective even when reflected light of an arc shape is captured in an image. |
