PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting having improved fireproof performance, which allows the damage to a vertical frame to be reduced.SOLUTION: A meeting stile of each sliding door of a double sliding window includes a smoke shield. A vertical frame 13 includes an opposing surface part 131 opposite to the door end stile 43 and a drawing piece 132. The door end stile 43 includes a recessed groove part 438 which is partitioned with a depth surface part 435, an outdoor piece 436, and an indoor piece 437. A guide member 433 is attached to the recessed groove part 438. The guide member 433 is made of a synthetic resin material having a melting point lower than those of a fitting frame, a door end stile, a meeting stile, and upper and lower stile rails. The space dimension in the depth direction between the depth surface 435 of the door end stile 43 and the drawing piece 132 of the vertical frame 13 is denoted by A, the space dimension in the depth direction between the leading end of the door end stile 43 in the depth direction and the opposing surface part 131 of the vertical frame 13 by B, and the overlap allowance of the smoke shields by C. When the guide member 433 is heated to the melting temperature, the thermal expansion amount of the upper and lower stile rails is denoted by &Dgr;L.
