PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator capable of improving layout performance and a power transmission device using the actuator.SOLUTION: An actuator 1 includes an actuator housing 3, an actuator shaft 5, a first ring 7 disposed on the outer periphery of the actuator shaft 5, a friction member 9 disposed to frictionally fasten the actuator housing 3 and the first ring 7 in the actuator housing 3, a pressing member 11 for frictionally fastening the friction member 9, an actuating member 13 for actuating the pressing member 11, a second ring 17 disposed to relatively rotate with a predetermined rotational angle through the first ring 7 and a thrust force converting mechanism 15, a first connector 19 provided in the actuator housing 3 outside the actuator housing 3, and a second connector 21 provided in the actuator shaft 5 outside the actuator housing 3. |
