PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device, a server and a character string conversion system which can further improve efficiency in character input by achieving coordination between a plurality of terminal devices.SOLUTION: A terminal device (a portable phone 200) comprises: a character input unit 204 which receives character input from a user; dictionary data 212 which stores at least a character string 220, a reading of the character string 222 and a confirmation frequency 224 showing a frequency of confirming the character string in association with each other; a character string conversion unit 230 which retrieves a reading from a character inputted through the character input unit to extract character strings of conversion candidates, and outputs them in the order of referencing the confirmation frequency; a terminal side authentication unit 202a which performs authentication of a user ID to a server on a network; and a frequency information transmission unit 242 which references the dictionary data and transmits frequency information including the character string and the confirmation frequency of the character string to the server. |
