The method involves generating first light distribution comprising light-dark boundary (HDG-li,HDG-re) using light device, when optimally aligned light device defines coordinates on measuring wall (20). The camera is provided for acquisition of light distribution outside of light device. The features (L1,L2,R1,R2) of the light-dark boundaries on the measuring wall are detected. The characteristics of the light device are adjusted based on the detected features of the light-dark boundaries on measuring wall.
