The scanner has green and red LED displays (5, 4) switched-on for representing activation and deactivation modes of the scanner, respectively during operation of the scanner. The scanner is activated by putting a thumb of an owner of the vehicle into the scanner during starting a vehicle such that identification of the vehicle owner is assured. The scanner is deactivated and bridged by known codes, where the vehicle is started if the scanner is deactivated and the codes are entered (Incomplete specification, abstract based on available information published by the patent office).
