PURPOSE: A method for monitoring noise output from an earphone connected to a personal audio system is provided to monitor the noise output from the earphone and to provide the monitoring result for encouraging a user to utilize an earphone within a predetermined noise range causing no bad effects on user's hearing. CONSTITUTION: A method for monitoring noise output from an earphone connected to a personal audio system includes the following steps of; measuring the intensity of the noise output from the earphone connected to the personal audio system (S200); calculating the amount of noise exposed to a user by using the measured intensity of the noise and the noise continuous time (S300); and monitoring the calculated noise amount by comparing the same with a preset noise amount (S400).
