PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out computer parameter tuning with ease.SOLUTION: In one embodiment, a program determines a setting parameter of a target machine by using a test machine having installed software that operates on the target machine. The program is provided which causes a computer to execute the processes of: measuring a behavior of the test machine with respect to the change in setting parameter value of the test machine; creating a behavioral model of the test machine from the change in the setting parameter and the measured behavior; specifying the relationship between the behavior of the target machine and the behavior of the behavioral model from the behavior of the target machine at a first value of the setting parameter and the behavior of the behavioral model at the first value of the setting parameter; and calculating a second value of the setting parameter for the target machine from the behavioral model and the relationship.
