PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which, even in an organic EL element having a white luminous layer containing a plurality of light-emitting dopant compounds differing in luminous color, can be driven by a low voltage, and which exhibits high luminous efficiency, lasts long, and has a few color changes.SOLUTION: In the organic electroluminescent element, the luminous layer is a white luminous layer containing three or more kinds of light-emitting dopant compounds differing in molecular volume and two or more kinds of host compounds, characterized in that the molecular volume of at least one kind of host compound is a molecular volume between a light-emitting dopant compound having the largest molecular volume and any one kind of light-emitting dopant compound having an intermediate molecular volume, and that the molecular volume of at least one other kind of host compound is smaller than the molecular volume of a light-emitting dopant compound having an intermediate van der Waals volume. |
