PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer filling container capable of filling separately prepared developer in a short time, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the container.SOLUTION: A developer filling container 20 fills developer D into a developing device 6 by using weight of the developer D. The developer filling container 20 comprises: a main storage part 21 storing the developer; an intermediate filling passage 23 communicating with the main storage part 21 via a throttle passage 22; and a filling opening 24 connected to the developing device 6 disposed at the lowest part of the intermediate filling passage 23. When a passage cross-section of the throttle passage 22 between the main storage part 21 and the intermediate filling passage 23 is defined as A, a passage cross-section of the intermediate filling passage 23 is B, and a passage cross-section of the filling opening 24 is C, each area of the passage cross-sections A, B, and C is set to the passage cross-section B>the passage cross-section A>the passage cross-section C. |
