PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for powdering a clinker mixed raw material capable of being fired energy-savingly and efficiently because pulverization deteriorates the power specific consumption though a small fineness of the raw material makes heat quantity specific consumption small in firing of a portland cement clinker.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a portland cement clinker including a step of powdering a mixed raw material and firing the powdered raw material to obtain a clinker, the powdering of the raw material is made until the residue on 90-μm sieve becomes ≥20 mass% and ≤26 mass%. The pulverization is preferably carried out by a ball mill.
