PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that prevents image degradation to be caused by non-uniform charging due to an object deposited on a discharge member after cleaned by a cleaning member.SOLUTION: An image forming device 100 includes charging units 5A-5D each having a saw-tooth electrode 51, and a cleaning member 52 for cleaning the surface of the saw-tooth electrode 51 with a cleaning pad 532 in a pressure contact manner. A CPU 210 controls function parts. When an operation part 200 receives an input operation for a cleaning instruction, the CPU 210 moves the cleaning pad 532 from one of a home position P and a return position Q to the other. The CPU 210 controls a power supply part 58 so as to apply a predetermined DC voltage to the saw-tooth electrode 51 for a predetermined time. The CPU 210 applies the predetermined DC voltage to the saw-tooth electrode 51, while rotating photoreceptor drums 12A-12D. |
