PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for a metal sheet coating that is superior in various characteristics such as difficulty to cause rupture (hair) and cut down (galling) of a film in the drawing and ironing process of can making, while film forming is excellent, and difficulty to cause damaged of the film surface and corrosion of a the metal can even if falls or the external impact (dent) is given after the contents is enclosed and made into finished goods.SOLUTION: A laminated polyester film for covering metal sheet has a double-layered structure by laminating (A) a polyester resin layer mainly comprising the ethylene terephthalate that has the isophthalic acid component of the specific amount and, (B) a polyester resin layer that makes the random copolymer react of an ester oligomer of the low molecular weight mainly composed an ethylene terephthalate and a polyester polyol of the dimer acid origin with a specific molecular weight.
