PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder for a square wire material that can be operated in accurate synchronization with a machining device without using a power source.SOLUTION: A feeder 1 for a square wire material 8 feeds the square wire material 8 to a machining device 6. The feeder 1 includes a storage means 2 for storing the square wire material 8; a feeding means 3 disposed to be slidable in a horizontal direction; and a link 7 laid over the feeding means 3 and a machining means 61 that strokes in a vertical direction in the machining device 6. The feeding means 3 is movable into a receiving position 401 to receive the square wire material 8 from the storage means 2, and a feeding position to feed the square wire material 8 received from the storage means 2, to a delivery part 64 in the machining device 6. The feeder 1 is configured to move the feeding means 3 between the receiving position 401 and the feeding position through the link 7 by the ascending or descending operation of the machining means 61.
