The invention relates to a method for joining a composite sheet to a metal substrate (4), wherein the composite sheet is provided with at least one metal cover layer (6) and at least one non-metal layer (8) made of a synthetic material. An opening is introduced in the composite sheet, wherein at least one joining element (12) is provided, which is inserted into the opening of the composite sheet. The aim of providing a method for joining a composite sheet to a metal substrate in a process-reliable manner, and providing a corresponding construction is achieved in that the joining element (12) is configured as a metal sleeve, wherein the metal sleeve is deformed such that it forms a form-fit and force-closed bond with the composite sheet. With the end pointing towards the substrate, the metal sleeve is joined to the substrate in a firmly bonded manner using a filler material (14), wherein the filler material is arranged inside the sleeve (12). |
