Provided is a measurement device used to check engine oil, especially to check the Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME) content. An analysis container for this measurement device is substantially cylindrical, is capable of being placed in a vertically upright state, and has a scale. The position of the surface boundary can be read from the scale. Engine oil is mixed in this analysis container, with a reagent including alcohol and a de-emulsifying agent. The reduced volume after mixing is assumed to be the volume of FAME contained in the engine oil. |
