In order to provide an object positioning and fixing device whereby precision of positioning in the horizontal direction can be increased, the structure of a reference member can be simplified/reduced in size, and production cost can be reduced, a configuration is adopted whereby a reference seating surface (5) is formed on a top surface of a base member (2) a contacting surface (3a) capable of coming in contact with the reference seating surface (5) is formed on a work pallet (3), fitting pegs of a plurality of reference members (10, 20) are fitted and fixed in a plurality of fitting holes formed in the base member (2), a plurality of annular engaging members are mounted in a plurality of mounting holes of the work pallet (3), an engaging projection (13, 23) having an outside diameter larger than that of the fitting pegs, and a tapered engaging surface (10a, 20a) on an external peripheral surface thereof are formed on each of the plurality of reference members (10, 20), a proximal-end contacting surface (15) of the engaging projection (13, 23) is brought into contact with the reference seating surface (5) to set the height position of the engaging projection (13, 23), and an annular engaging member (30, 40) is fitted over the engaging projection (13, 23) and elastically deformed outward in the radial direction, and closely fitted against the tapered engaging surface (10a, 20a). |
