An information terminal is provided with: a line-of-sight determination unit (13) for deciding whether or not a user's line-of-sight detected by a line-of-sight detection unit is oriented toward a display; and a touch input control unit for controlling an input operation to a touch panel so as to enable acceptance when the line-of-sight is oriented toward the display, and controlling an input operation to the touch panel so as to not enable acceptance when the line-of-sight is not oriented toward the display. This makes it possible to easily control the advisability of accepting an input without the need for a special operation by the user or the lapse of a fixed period of time.
