The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a sealing element for an organic electroluminescence element that enables the procedure after pasting to be simplified and that has excellent high-temperature-environment adhesion stability after pasting; and a method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescence element having excellent high-temperature stability and sealing performance using the sealing element for an organic electroluminescence element. This sealing element for an organic electroluminescence element is characterized in having, on a substrate, a thermosetting resin layer containing a thermosetting resin, and an auxiliary electrode layer, in the sequence listed.
